German Canoeing Medal Predictions In The Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games

Germany has the most participants of any participating nation in the Tokyo 2021 Olympics Canoeing event this summer, with a roster that features 21 individuals. Indeed, the next most on the list are Canada and China, who both have a roster of 18.

There are 11 men that will compete in various events for the German Canoeing events, with individuals such as Sideris Tasiadis, Hannes Aigner and Conrad Scheibner all competing in solo efforts. Tasiadis has already competed in the Men’s C-1 event and managed to obtain bronze for the nation!

With 11 men competing, that means there are a total of 10 women representing Germany at the 2021 Tokyo Games, with two competing as individuals within the Slalom events, whilst the remaining eight compete in the Sprint as two pairs and a quartet. Andrea Herzog is competing in the Women’s C-1 whereas Ricarda Funk is in the Women’s K-1 and has reached the semifinal!

2021 Tokyo Olympics Canoeing Favourites

Germany has a great chance of adding to the bronze medal that Tasiadis has managed to already achieve, although there are a number of other top athletes all competing in the Tokyo 2021 Canoeing event in Japan this summer.

These are just some of the other names to keep an eye on, with some of these being amongst the best outright betting predictions that our WettenTips betting experts are able to provide.

Ricarda Funk’s Medal Chances

As already mentioned, Ricarda Funk has already managed to obtain a place in the Women’s K-1 semifinals after coming through her two first slalom runs in strong positions. The German athlete managed to finish 1st and then 2nd in her two heats, thus achieving a rank of second overall heading into the 2021 Tokyo Olympic semifinal stage of the canoeing discipline.

If she maintains that form in the next stage and reaches the final, our prediction would be to expect her on the podium with a medal around her neck once the event is finished.

Jessica Fox Medal Predictions

Australia’s Jessica Fox has to be one of the best 2021 Tokyo canoeing predictions as an outright winner of the Olympic Women’s Canoe Slalom C-1 race. She is a world champion that has managed to win 15 medals (including 10 gold) at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships and is one of the most successful females to have ever competed in the sport.

Germany’s Andrea Herzog will provide a tough challenge, so one great betting prediction would be to back both canoeing athletes to be on the podium at the end of the event.

Jiri Prskavec Predictions In Canoeing

Having obtained bronze at the 2016 Rio Games, many will feel that Jiri Prskavec will be in a good position to acquire another medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games this summer. Hailing from the Czech Republic, the athlete has been in good form, so we predict it will continue at the Games currently taking place.
